The Veil How to Get Offerings: Verified Methods

Learn the actions that earn Offerings in The Veil, what they're needed for, and which farming method fits your situation before committing to a class requirement.

To get Offerings in The Veil, take bounty contracts and kill evil (outlaw) players for roughly 3 Offerings per kill, complete quests for explorer NPCs in the maze, or loot Stones of Accords in the crypts — using one grants Offerings. Offerings are the alignment currency for the orderly path, and they are earned through different actions than Sins, so don't mix the two farming loops.

Why you need Offerings

Offerings are required for most orderly-path classes: the common requirement is 30 Sins for the chaotic path or 30 Offerings for the orderly path — Sky Sentinel, for example, needs 30 Offerings. The Marauder is a mixed case at 15 Sins + 15 Offerings. Trainers also typically expect around 1,000 silver and a completed class quest on top of the currency. Note that these figures are community-documented, not an official class list, so check your target class's trainer in-game.

Ways to earn Offerings

Bounty kills on outlaws. Grab a bounty contract and kill an evil (outlaw) player for about 3 Offerings. It's a mediocre method: targets usually travel with other players, so you often just die attempting the kill.

Friend or alt bounty loop. A repeatable farming loop:

  1. Have a friend or alt one prestige tier higher than you.
  2. Kill them — you gain prestige and a Sin.
  3. Let them kill you back; repeat until enough kills put your name on the bounty board.
  4. Take your friend's bounty and kill them: this awards a chest plus Offerings.
  5. The character you killed gets thrown in prison — bail them out via the waypoint and keep looping.

Explorer NPC quests. In the maze, small explorer NPCs occasionally blow a whistle when they need help. Accept their quest and turn it in for an Offering. Volume is low — a farming run around the crypt yielded roughly 5–6 Offerings — but it's safe and can be done in passing. (Letting the explorer die instead awards a Sin, which makes the same NPC a Sin farm, not an Offering one.)

Crypt loot route. The most efficient bulk method:

  1. Go to the crypts and server-hop.
  2. Look for Stones of Accords — using one grants Offerings and an Idol of Hatred (it also grants Sin).
  3. Loot each crypt room, targeting Offerings and idols; spawns become easy to recognize with repetition, and a back room is roughly 50/50.
  4. Skip the elevator to the big top room — it takes too long and drains sanity.
  5. If you only need Sins, don't use Stones of Accord yourself; stack them and trade them in the game's Discord server for Idols of Hatred at roughly one-for-one, which reportedly saved about an hour and a half.

There's also a repeatable Idol of Hatreds farm spot behind a bookshelf in the Weeping Crypt's cave, again via server-hopping. Be aware the exact item-to-currency conversion values here are not firmly established — treat the reported amounts as approximate and confirm what you receive in-game.

Choosing a method

  • Random outlaw bounties: ~3 Offerings each, but risky since targets bring company.
  • Friend/alt bounty loop: fast and repeatable, but someone goes to prison every cycle (bail out via waypoint).
  • Explorer NPC quests: low volume (~5–6 per session) but safe and doable alongside crypt farming.
  • Crypt looting + server hopping: the strongest main method; skipping the top-floor elevator saves time and sanity.
  • Discord trading: converts unwanted Offerings-path items (Stones of Accords) into Idols of Hatred for the currency you actually need.

Confirming the award

Offerings and Sins are separate counters, and some actions overlap them (bounty kills in the loop award a Sin on the way to Offerings; Stones of Accords grant both). After each action, check your Offerings counter specifically — don't rely on a Sins change as evidence — and verify the exact amounts against your own in-game totals, since reported values like ~3 per bounty kill and the one-for-one idol trade come from player testing rather than official numbers.

Pick the requirement you're chasing, choose a supported method above, and farm with a friend where the loop needs one.
