The Veil: How to Reroll Race (Verified Steps)

Your race in The Veil is not permanent. Your starting roll is not a trap — you never need to delete your character or waste another slot. Load a character slot and walk to the Stylist NPC in the spawn town (the safe zone): the Stylist opens the race reroll screen at any time.

How to reroll your race

1. Load a character slot — race changes happen in the game world, not on the opening menu.
2. Collect a Race Reroll — redeem an active code or claim a daily reward before visiting the Stylist.
3. Go to the spawn town, your safe area, and find the Stylist NPC.
4. Interact with the Stylist to open the race reroll screen, then confirm the reroll to roll a new race.
5. Read the result — check the new race's bonuses against your planned weapon and class before spending another reroll.

Before you confirm, think about whether you actually need the change: your build matters as much as your race, so decide on a build direction first and avoid rerolling repeatedly just to chase the rarest one.

Getting rerolls

A reroll spends one Race Reroll, a consumable item, so collect one before you visit the Stylist. They come from:

• Daily rewards grant free race rerolls.
• Codes grant rerolls: active codes from our Codes page regularly add several race rerolls each. Redeem codes by joining the Blackstar DW Studios Roblox group, then use the code section in the in-game shop (not the main menu).
• In-game purchases: Race Rerolls are part of the game's monetization, so they can also be bought — no price or bundle size has been published.
• One-off extras: quest completions have been reported as a source, though no specific quest is named, and players reportedly received about six free rerolls when the community beat a Discord server goal — a one-time grant, not a repeatable source.

Race roll odds have not been published by the developers, so there are no official probabilities to cite — don't trust invented odds elsewhere.

What a reroll changes and its limits

Every reroll is a random roll for a different race and its base stats, drawn from a pool of 10 races spanning Common to Legendary. Treat every roll as final — plan as if each roll spends one Race Reroll, and remember the supply is limited.

Each race changes your stats: damage type multipliers, resistance, speed, luck or summon power. The one legendary race, Veilborne, rewrites weave stacking entirely. Rarities span Common (Human), Uncommon (Goblin), Rare (Wraith) and Legendary (Veilborne), though several races' rarity tiers are still unconfirmed, and one race is reserved for community events and is unobtainable.

Rarity only measures how hard a race is to roll, not how well a race fits your build — a rarer roll can still be worse for the class you plan to play.
