The Veil: How to Unlock Cultist — Requirements, Route and Quest

Cultist unlock in The Veil: 30 Sins, the Weeping Crypt quest to kill 75 monsters, and the 1,000 silver payment — full route and completion check.

To unlock the Cultist class in The Veil, you need 30 Sins and 1,000 silver, then complete the cultist trainer's quest inside the Weeping Crypt: kill 75 monsters there and pay him the silver. Cultist is the Sins-path summoner (Sky Sentinel is the Offerings equivalent), and it's an ultra class — one per character.

Cultist unlock prerequisites

Before traveling, make sure you have:

  • 30 Sins. You gain Sins by:
    • Gripping players of the same or higher prestige.
    • Popping Idols of Hatreds — found around the map and behind a bookshelf in the Weeping Crypt's cave (one Idol = one Sin).
    • Killing bosses.
    • Server-hopping or trading kills with a friend of a different prestige tier also works.
  • 1,000 silver, paid to the cultist trainer. Earn it by selling random trinkets and boss weapons to the merchant.

Note: Cultist requires 30 Sins specifically — not Offerings. Idol of Hatreds spawn locations and the Sin-farming methods above are community-documented, not officially confirmed.

Reaching the cultist trainer in the Weeping Crypt

  1. Use a waypoint/obelisk and teleport to the Weeping Crypt — it appears a short way into the main story, when the game sends you there.
  2. Run to the back of the crypt and take the right-side door.
  3. Come back through a hole in the wall and ride the elevator up.
  4. In the large loot room, find the hole in the wall in the back right corner — the cultist NPC is there.

Complete the unlock sequence

  1. Talk to the cultist and accept his class quest: kill 75 monsters inside the Weeping Crypt.
  2. To grind the kills faster, pop a 2x spawn rate potion, or wait for night, drink a nightfall potion in the loot room so a large number of enemies spawn.
  3. Return to the cultist after the 75 kills. The completion confirmation is: "The rite is counted. Show me the way."
  4. Pay the 1,000 silver to receive the Cultist class.

How class unlocking works overall

The general pattern for classes in The Veil is: an alignment currency (30 Sins or 30 Offerings), a class quest, then a roughly four-figure silver payment to the trainer. Cultist falls on the Sins side; the Offerings side leads to Sky Sentinel. Classes come in super and ultra tiers — an ultra class is one per character, blocks you from talking to other ultra trainers, and can only be reset via the NPC Kharvos. Out of combat, you can freely swap between ultra classes or super hybrid setups you already own. Exact costs for other classes aren't verified here; check with each trainer in-game.
